Eva Apelqvist is the author of a number of children’s and young adult books and a Swedish-to-English/English-to-Swedish translator.
Her translation of Moa Backe Åstot’s young adult novel Himlabrand, Fire from the Sky, published by Levine Querido, was named a Printz Honor Book, 2024.
She is also the translator of The Lost Ones, the third book in Johan Rundberg’s award-winning middle-grade series The Moonwind Mysteries, due out in January, 2025.
Her own latest book, Mörker över skateparken, was the 2022 winner of Spårhunden, best Swedish mystery for children and young adults.
Eva has worked in many different fields of book creation and distribution, among them, a publishing house, a library and an independent bookstore. She is also a reader/reviewer for book publishers in Sweden, the U.K. and the United States and she helps people write their life stories.
