“One of our favorite translators, and a very fine writer.”

— Arthur A. Levine, founder of Levine Querido

Eva’s recent translation of The Lost Ones, the third book in Johan Rundberg’s award-winning middle-grade series The Moonwind Mysteries, has received a starred review from The Horn Book and a very warm welcome from the School Library Journal.

Eva’s translation of Moa Backe Åstot’s celebrated young adult novel, Fire From the Sky, published in the United States by Levine Querido, was named a Printz Honor Book, as only the second book in translation to ever be given this honor.

It started off innocently enough. Mo just wanted to catch a girl’s eye. She was this super-talented and mysterious skater girl who looked like she had the universe all figured out. So Mo did what any self-respecting nerd would do: He put aside his chess pieces, his guinea pig, and his books on astronomy and transformed himself into a skater guy, in the hopes that she might notice him.
